Dear Alex
Actually I have recently read your book and would like to thank
you for waking up on me the vein for translation. I'm living in
UK for the last 5 years and I now feel confident to gain a
qualification in English..
Thanks again for writing that book of great help for me. I look
forward to hearing your advise and I hope to see you in
'business' in the next coming years.
A happy reader of your book

Dear Sir,
Ive already obtained the e-book and read it with much interest.
Although I havent started out in the buisness yet, my immediate
impression of the book was very positive:
it is well structured and contains, as youve mentioned, alot of
tips which are derived from plain common sense, and is quite
motivating! My intuition tells me that it will be very helpful in
getting myself started out with my very own freelance translator
buisness. After getting the basic equipment you suggested, I will
give it my best shot!
Sincerly,
Giovanni

You are a star. Thanks for your brilliant and prompt help and
advice as ever. You are more than welcome to quote me, and once
I've followed up tranmail I'll keep in touch and let you know
about response rates and anything else that I might have found

Dear Alex/Amazing Publications,
First, I would like to say that I bought your ebook recently and
I have to say that I think it really is excellent value for
money. All the things we don't think about until we've been
through it with trial and error ourselves half the time, your
book pre-empts all these potential pitfalls.
I've been doing an MBA this year and so haven't had time to
follow all of it up (including tranmail) yet, but I would be
happy to provide you a testimonial and link you to my website
once I've got myself sorted out and all loose ends tidied up at
the end of September. All I can think about at the moment is MBA

Dear Alex,
I went ahead and bought the eBook, and I just want to thank you for bringing enlightenment and encouragement to novice translators (like me) who may been feeling all lost and lonely in the dark and gloomy wasteland of translation apprenticeship.
The fog is lifting for me, now, thanks to your sharing and caring, and I feel empowered to go out there in the world of translation and be somebody!
As we say in California, you're awesome!
I know some day, when I'm a big success, I'll be able to say,
"I couldn't have done it without you, Alex Eames..." Serious!
Thanks for being there...

Dear Alex,
I couldn't resist buying the 2nd edition at the full price shortly after
its appearance, even though you mentioned before that an upgrade path would
eventually become available for people who want to upgrade from version 1.
I have found the 1st edition very well written and, more importantly, very
helpful, and wasn't disappointed by the 2nd edition either, quite the
contrary. And even at the full price, it didn't seem too expensive.
Keep up the good work!
Many thanks and best regards,

can we (those who purchased your ebook) have access to the

Hi Alex
I know your message was an automated one, but I have to write you
back to tell you something. Actually, I downloaded this chapter
to check if there was an updated version of your eBook. I bought
it last year, I think, but only one month ago I was able to read
it throughly.
After following your advices, specially those concerned to
introduction letters, I started to send my résumé to potential
clients. I might add that I've also bought Glenn's Guide a couple
of years ago.
Oddly, GG says that we shouldn't spend too much time with
introduction letters since clients throw them away right away.
And so I did the first time I sent resumes.
The response from clients was minimal. At this time, I chose to
follow your advices and wrote a beautiful and professional
introduction letter, stating what I offer as a translator and
what I consider important in our profession in order to deliver a
good translation.
Bingo! The responses were far beyond my expectations! Many of
them wrote me back saying how I perfectly caught their spirit
towards professional translation.
I must thank you for your wonderful book. When I bought it, I
went straight to the e-mail addresses. So bad I didn't have the
time to read it throughly.
Keep on your good work.
Best wishes from Brazil,

Alex,
You know I feel most fortunate for having the opportunity to buy your book.
Needless to say that this is a book that nobody in this business should be without. I recommend it to any serious professional who wishes to be successful.
My target naturally is to work only through the web. I do feel that thanks to you I may be able to do it.
The abovementioned in relation to your book is the truth from my heart as I feel it. I have no objection therefore, if other people read what I said. The strongest thing always is the truth, as we know it.
I wish you and Phil who helped me a lot, the very best. You do deserve it.

To Whom it May Concern,
I purchased Alex's $80,000+/yr eBook in January, 2001. First and
foremost, I just want to say "Thanks!"
Thanks to the book's wealth of information, I have successfully
launched my new career as a freelance translator. I've already
completed a number of jobs for agencies in the U.S., England and
Japan! Without Alex's help, I would still probably be searching
around the internet wondering how to get started.
Now that I see there's a new version out, I am anxious to get my
hands on it. Is the upgrade still free for those who purchased
the first version in 2001? If so, how do I go about getting it?
Sincerely,

Dear Alex,
When I first came into this country (USA) I was quite surprised
because I said: wow!! this Americans cannot manage to live their
lives without these stupid books ("How to find happiness in 5
steps" "How to increase your breathing capacity, quick course",
"How to be successful in your everyday life"....and so on....the
list is quite broad!!)....
BUT, and here is the reason for this letter, when six months went
by in my new business, and I wasn't getting any clients at
all.....I said "something is very wrong with my translation
campaign", and very ashamed of my own principles I considered the
idea of buying your book.
It still took me a while to find out good arguments (between
others I said: "well, at least he is English"), but finally I
ordered it and I really want to thank you, because you cannot
imagine how helpful it has been to me and my new business!!!
I realized there was a lot I was doing very wrong. I like your
"freshness" a lot, you are direct, everybody knows what you mean,
what you want, and why are you so successful in what you do.
Thank you so much and keep up the big work that you do for all of us!!.
Gratefully,

As a translator/interpreter, I recently purchased your e-book, "

enjoyed the book very much and learned a great deal from it as
well. I have the utmost respect for you and your work and I
would like to learn as much as I can from you about this
business.
I have now decided to start a Translation Agency. I am looking
for information on contracting with freelance translators,
interpreters for my agency. ( I was working for a company and I
don't have an experience as a freelancer.) I also need to
advertise my business and I am in the process of building my own
web page. Until this is up and running, however, I was wondering
if you have an area within your websites for agencies to
advertise. Can you give me any advice on contracting with
translators, interpreters and where I can best advertise my new
business?
Alex, I wish you had written an e-book on "How to Start a
Successful Translation Agency" ! If you do have a book on this
topic or can suggest one I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.
