"Translation Job Sources & Working"

Welcome to issue 24 of tranfree - the newsletter for translators.

I hope you all had a good long break at Christmas. I certainly did and feel much better for it. In fact, during this "break" I wrote a new 46 page eBook about eZine advertising.

Then I had almost 2 whole weeks off with a virus. But there you go. It was a probably a good thing - forced me to have a proper rest.

I've just got a cable modem set up at home, so now (when it's working) I've got super-fast 500kBaud connection. It's still having a few teething troubles, but in a few weeks I'll review the service and let you know how effective it is.

Michaela's written another great article for us, Phil's dug up some more dictionary sites - some of them quite obscure. Peter Stumpf of Star China has also sent us a useful tip...

...and we're running another poll to see which internet job sources you are getting the most work from.

So enjoy and benefit from tranfree

More foreign travel funnies...

LEBANON (sent in by Mohamed Hammoud)...

While going to a doctor's office in Lebanon to get treated from a bad case of flu, I proceeded to use the only bathroom in the building. The sign on the door boldly carried the heading "bisexual" instead of unisex...

GERMANY

A sign posted in Germany's Black Forest...
It is strictly forbidden on our black forest camping site that people of different sex, for instance, men and women, live together in one tent unless they are married with each other for that purpose.

ITALY

Ladies, leave your clothes here and spend the afternoon having a good time.
