So Glad To Be Back
Spot the sarcastic heading. It's always nice coming home to see
that the cat's alright and that everything is in order with the
house and garden etc.
But being away for nearly 3 weeks has given me a slightly broader
perspective on life. What's my conclusion?...
There's More To Life Than Work.
There must be, because I didn't do any for nearly 3 weeks, I've
come back and I still don't much want to do any.
I guess I really wore myself out with the launch of the second
edition of...

...but we'll be making some exciting new changes at

over the coming months once I crank myself up into high gear again.
Holiday Stuff

doing, and rarely find the time for, these days.
Other things we did included...
- a SCUBA certification course & lots of snorkelling
- a plane trip to the other end of the island
- a speedboat ride (don't sit in the front)
- driving all along the northern coast and back through the mountains
If you're interested, I'll put up some pictures in the next few
days. I haven't done it yet. But they will go up at...

Translation Joke
Some quite famous marketing goofs...
Jolly Green Giant translated into Arabic means
"Intimidating Green Ogre."
When Coca-Cola first came to China, it was given a similar
sounding name ... but the characters used for the name meant
"Bite the Wax Tadpole."
Chicken magnate Frank Perdue wants us to know that "It takes a
tough man to make a tender chicken", but the Spanish translation
came out as "It takes a sexually stimulated man to make a chicken
affectionate."
