Dear Alex,

Friday I bought your tranmail product. Today I
am struggling with inquiries for excellent
projects, have an excellent prospectus on
my desk, and have been approved and
entered into 120!!!! New client databases.

Being bilingual is MY talent, being
successful with it is YOURS.

Just one week ago I would never have thought
that I'd ever have to turn down "several"
project offers at once, today I have to.

Thank you
Tao P. Weber

Follow Up With Dead-beats

We got paid last week for a job we did 2 YEARS AGO for NCI Translation Center in Belgium. It was for 25 pounds and we'd given up on getting paid for it...

...But then they approached us for a new job, I told them...

"no chance until you clear your debt"

...so after being asked to send another copy of the invoice, we eventually...

... got paid.

In tranfree 41 I told you about another debt which was cleared after one year by another company. This is now our new in-house record! So it's worth following up - even after 2 years!

Translation Joke

A Mexican bandit made a speciality of crossing the Rio Grande from time to time and robbing banks in Texas. Finally, a reward was offered for his capture and an enterprising Texas Ranger decided to track him down. After a lengthy search, he traced the bandit to his favorite cantina, snuck up behind him, put his trusty six-shooter to the bandit's head, and said...

"You're under arrest. Tell me
where you hid the loot or
I'll blow your brains out."

But the bandit didn't speak English, and the Ranger didn't speak Spanish. Fortunately, an interpreter was in the saloon and interpreted the Ranger's message. The terrified bandit blurted out, in Spanish, that the loot was buried under the oak tree in back of the cantina.

"What did he say?" asked the Ranger.
The interpreter answered...

"He said 'Get lost, Gringo. You wouldn't dare shoot me.'"
