tranfree issue 50 - 13 August 2002 New Look tranfree, New Products and Big Words
Welcome to the new look tranfree. The changes are not earth- shattering, but we received some feedback and want to show that we are listening.
Since it's been a while since the last proper edition, this
edition contains a lot more content than usual. Enjoy
We also want more feedback from you freelance translators. We
received a number of responses to our questions in the 49a
bulletin edition. But we'd like a bunch more, so the questions
are repeated in this edition too We are also changing tack slightly in this edition. We will continue to be the translator's friend by offering business tips and advice, but we felt a change was needed. So this issue is a bit more journalistic than before. Our lead article exposes a practice that we frown upon.
Enjoy and benefit from tranfree Alex Eames

Modifications to the freeforall message board? The translatortips® freeforall message board has received over 5000 postings since launch on 22 November 1999. If you use the message board and want to keep it, now is the
time to write to me while I decide its future. If I don't hear
from anyone, that will give a pretty good idea of how much you
want to keep it
For the moment, I have redirected it to the
translatortips® forums,
but if I get a barrage of requests to keep it, I can
easily change it back in a few clicks.
