: Dear Alex,

: first of all I would like to thank you for
: providing this space as well as your
: interesting newsletter.

No problem at all - it's only been here a few days and already people are beginning to come here and use it! I'm glad about that!

: How do you and other translators deal with
: this issue? I basically lose $30.00 with
: every wire transfer. Isn't there a way to
: avoid filling the banks' pockets?

What about cheques/checks? They can take a bit longer and get delayed in postal strikes (PP reference there). But I think they only cost a couple of bucks to pay in. That's how I paid Cathy Flick when she helped out with the localization of my book into US English.

I don't remember how much she said it cost her to pay into her bank, but it certainly wasn't 30 bucks.

If you want to ask her and you don't know her email address you can always use her translatortips forwarding address cf@translatortips.com

: Any input will be greatly appreciated.

: Kind regards,

: Antje

You're welcome - hope it helps
