When I quote for a job, I refer to the Word Count in the target language to calculate payment. However, MSWord counts every non-space as a word, even if it's only a hyphen (an hyphen?). Should I let this stand, or should I make some adjustment to allow for the overcounting by the software? I do not want to frighten my customer, but on the other hand, it is a lot of extra work just to count hyphens:-).
