: I am a beginner in translation business. I speak English and Lithuanian. I don't have any diploma in this field, but I'm looking for an appropriate Public Service Translation Course in London. I also need some practice in translating. If you could help me, please write. Thank you.

Hi

Have a look at the tranfree archive...

http://www.translatortips.com/tranfreearch.html

Issues 28 and 29 have articles concerning getting accredited and online/distance learning courses, and issue 34 has some tips on getting started. For example, if you want to get some experience, try offering your services to charities or not-for-profit organisations. You'll get good experinece and you'll be helping worthwhile causes at the same time.

Best of luck!
