It all depends on the agency. Some answer quickly enough (maybe a couple of weeks) and some never answer at all (you may never hear from them again or they may simply start sending you work).
Also any ideas on determining rates from Italian to English and viceversa for US/UK agencies would be appreciated. I am based in France and all my work so far has been for the Italian market where rates seem to be much lower. Thanks for any tips.
