Thanks for the advice. Actually, it seems that most potential clients aren't ready to go to the trouble of zipping up their site files and sending them to you - it's too much commitment, especially if they're checking out ten different translation services.

Added to that, you just look that much more web savvy if you can do the quote without without troubling them at all. Based upon my limited experience I would think that you don't want to start "imposing" upon the client until you need to get into their active server pages, should their site contain them.

Any more thoughts?
