I am located in NYC and am looking into going into free lancing full time. I have a BA in Translation/Interpretation French-English-Creole-Spanish. I have worked a few years ago (shortly after graduating)for a couple of years in Interpretation (French-English-Creole). Besides that I have no real experience in the field. Granted, I have done one or two legal translation as well as birth certificates, but not enough experience to be hired by an agency. I am currently studying for the accreditation exame (ATA) of which I am member.
Could someone show me the ropes. I have registered in all the different translation sites but so far nothing. Translation/Interpretation is my love. Am I crazy wanting to do it full-time? or is it lucrative?
