Are you by chance working on improving this board at all? The way it's currently set up, if a new response is posted to a much older message, no one will see it unless they go hunting (like I just did and found a response posted for me since 04/11/00 that I'd missed).
As this board continues to grow, I don't see how this method is going to work out. Maybe you could just post a notice asking people not to post their responses to older messages as 'follow-ups', but rather as new messages... Just a thought.

PS: Have you noticed that instead of 2000 or 00, dates look like 4/19/100.
