I have been offered a job as freelance translator for a firm in the Boston area, and they have asked me to establish my rate per word. I would like to know what is considered a fair price to charge per source word for technical translations (medical and financial) from English into Portuguese, on regular and rush projects. I don't know if this makes a difference, but I am Brazilian and located in Brazil. I would appreciate your feedback, preferably with specific information. Thank you!
