Goodday,
I am starting to think about my own translation business and am doing all the necessary market research at the moment. Could you please tell me with a degree in the Languages French and German whether I would need to gain an extra qualification in order to be taken seriously as a freelance translator?
I would only translate from German and French into English (into my mother tongue and not vice versa). Do you think this service would be too limiting perhaps?
The main thing I want to know is whether it is feasible for me to start a freelance translation business without holding an extra accreditation in the languages?
