Berlitz Acquires LMI Assets
Berlitz International announced acquisition of certain assets, operating subsidiaries, and key personnel
of Language Management International (LMI) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (formerly The Corporate
Word), with offices in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Rosario, Argentina; and Singapore. The acquisition also
includes the North-American sales organization of LMI. LMI's operations in Amsterdam and its
headquarters in Denver, Colorado, were not acquired.
Berlitz GlobalNet, the translation-services segment of Berlitz, has been providing translation services for
over 25 years. It plans to expand its presence to over 23 locations, in 22 countries worldwide. Its client
base includes companies in the telecom, IT, medical, and automotive industries.
