I had translated/interpreted in Mandarin/English for quite a few years in China. My area was mainly in technology (aviation, aircraft operation), but I was also involved in stocks and economy, etc.. Recently I moved to CA, US. I get to know they need a licence in translation. But they don't have the licence for Mandarin translators. So I wonder if I must pass some kind of test or I can start to do translation right away. I'd like to know where I can find such jobs too. Any advice is appreciated.
