Hi! I'm a recently graduated English-Spanish sworn translator. I graduated from the best university in my country, and now I doubt wether I want to send my CV to an agency or to become freelance. I wanted to work for an agency because I know my work will be supervised since I'm "new", but I prefer the idea of being free and dealing with my clients directly. The point is... which is more convenient for me? And how do I do to find clients on my own? Thank you VERY MUCH!Thank you for creating this site! It has been of great help to me and it has made me feel understood. I thought I was the only one with a translation problem!

Hmmmthere seems to be a bit of confusion here. In actual fact, a translation agency does not have exclusive rights to your work. Most successful freelancers work for agencies and direct clients. At one time we had more than 50 translation agencies on our books as clients. One agency will not give you enough work-flow to live on. You need to send your CV to many agencies. IP: 62.254.128.7 |
