I'm new to this forum, but I've purchased the e-book, and I also purchased the Tranmail program. I'm preparing to work as an English to Italian translator. There are a couple of things I've been wondering about: I'm very anxious to start working in the field, and I'm confident with my abilities. I'm taking a certificate program, and one of the things I'd like to get advice on is how can one moniter which agencies to accept work from (e.g. which ones pay, which don't etc.) and also, is it difficult to get a response from agencies through Tranmail if you don't have extensive translation work history or certificate/degree on your resume?
The second thing I'd like advice on is in regards to relocating. If I were to develop a clientele while working here at home (in Canada), and I decided that I wanted to move to another country, how difficult would the transition be? Would I be able to keep the customers that I correspond with via the internet?
