I am 24 yrs old and located in California. I am fluent in German, English, French and Turkish. I am a turkish native but I grew up with these languages so I do excellent translations in all 4 lanuages. I recently moved here and would like to work as a freelance translator but I dont know where to begin. I would greatly appreciate if someone could give me advice.

Hi Elif

You've come to the right place. Welcome

I advise a good long look through these forums, where you will find the answers to a great many questions.

Do subscribe to tranfree if you haven't already.

It's easier for us to answer a specific question than a very general one, such as yours. Of course I wrote an entire ebook which answers in depth how you should go about running your translation business.

But if you have a more specific question, someone here will be able to answer you if I can't.

Hi there,

I agree with Alex ... just take a few minutes to browse around the website, root around the forums and the archives, and you will get a ton of information to start out with. Once you go through it and contemplate how it all applies to you personally, you will be able to formulate some specific questions and we'll be happy to help you. You know where to find us!
