I am a translator looking for jobs. Would you please inform where to find places that serve as portals for translators to be found. Thank you for your kind help.

Here is another one:
translatorsBase.com

But I'm not sure if it's good. But I guess it largely depends on which languages you translate.

I signed up with this site in July, but haven't made any money yet. I do between English and Japanese. I made bids and got responses from a few people.

For one person I explained the content of the document for free, for special situation. Some of them still thinking, one replied politely that she hired someone else who responded sooner (with the same bid price - 10 cents per English word).

I recommend you to join and see what happens.

Also there is another posting in thsi forum titled, "translatorsbase vs language123."

Good luck.

I'm not a big fan of bidding sites frankly.

Maybe when you are starting out it's a good idea, but how can you compete unless you are living in a low-pay economy?

Better to use these sites as a place to have an online CV and let clients contact you direct. Of course you should link it to your website too. You do have one don't you?
