In French class, the teacher told the students that, if they persevered with their studies, the time would come when they would even dream in French. Sometime after that, one of the students after the other would burst into class exclaiming: “I dreamt in French, I really dreamt in French!”. This went on for months until one young man, who really had little aptitude for the language, was the only one left who hadn’t “seen the light” at last.
One day, the laggard student announced: “Last night I dreamt that I was on holiday in Paris, and they were all speaking French!”
The teacher was overjoyed and asked: “So what happened? What did they say?”
To which the student replied: “No idea – it was all in French!”
